ABOUT US
Horses and ponies have been part of our family now for as long as I can remember, we all have a passion for them that has strengthened through my own and my younger sisters strong interest in showjumping.
We had our first ponies at a young age and she was an absolute angel called Nutmeg, she was no showjumper but a saint in every other way and taught us the basics well. When I was about 8 my desire was to showjump and my parents aim was to buy me a pony to show me how it is done, you can probably guess what happened next!!
Being very inexperianced in buying a jumping pony we fell for a 'Jacked in' JA that only taught me one thing, how to fall, in every direction!! When we asked the previous owner what was going wrong they told us basically that it was our fault and that the pony had never been like this before. Luckily my parents saw through the con and we got another pony which was lent to me by dealer Dug Aldred, I have alot to thank Dug for he was very honest, kind and told us the absolute truth about a pony that would start me off in major competition and become my hero!!
We could not risk selling the naughty pony so we gave him away to a home where he would never jump again,
After meeting lots of other parents at shows, what we thought was our mis fortune seems to be
a regular occurance, with people making amounts of money on unsuitable ponies and lots of hardworking children being left heart broken. With this in mind we set about trying to find someone we could trust!!
After searching the length of the UK and finding it almost impossible to find honest people selling honest horses we decided to look abroad, we aimed to find the 'raw talant' and turn it into something special. We buy all our horses direct from european breeders, Most we buy as young and untouched, we handle and break them then start their competition careers, we have found that people admire the horses and the way they are produced, slowly and correctly, and approach us to buy them, these people have accepted that all young horses have good days and bad and have been more than pleased with their new found friends.
We have built our own string of quality, well bred horses and ponies competiting at different levels, we keep all our horses and ponies at least six months so that we know all there is to know about them and can pass this information onto their new owners, any habits or hobbies we always make the buyer aware of prior to purchase, and we love to keep in touch.
We pride ourselves in our reputation and all our horses and ponies are what we say they are, we aim to match the right horse or pony to the right rider so that the partnership will blossom together, then less people will feel like we did in the beginning.
There is no better advertisement than a satisfied person and nothing more pleasing than to see horses we have started out and about doing well.
